(Belcamp, Maryland – May 5, 2014) The Havre de Grace Library was full of laughter and fun as the Grammy Award winning duo of Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer sang and played an array of musical instruments to 125 children and adults.
Cathy & Marcy deliver a show that is fun, wacky, energetic, participatory and meaningful. “We connect music with early literacy!” exclaimed the performing duo. Their harmonies are backed by instrumental acoustic and electric guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, steel drum and many other instruments.
The performance was won through a random drawing held at the American Libraries Association Conference. “We were thrilled to have Cathy & Marcy here at the Havre de Grace Library. The audience of both adults and children had a great time!” stated Branch Manager, Irmgarde Brown.
